SCOUTS ASSOCIATION OF URUGUAY
Scouting in Uruguay was founded in 1946 and was recognized by the World Bureau (WOSM) in 1950. Membership on January 1, 1998 was 2,841 registered Scouts.
The association is open to all members of all religions, but most of its members are Catholic.
Scouts are active in community service and step in to help the government in times of disaster or special need.
Prior to 1996, there were 2 Scout Organizations in Uruguay. The Boy Scouts of Uruguay and The Catholic Boy Scouts of Uruguay merged to form The Movimento Scout Del Uruguay in 1996.

Lobatos / Cubs- ages 7 to 11
Abejas / Brownies- ages 7 to 11
Boy Scouts- ages 11 to 15
Girl Scouts- ages 11 to 15
Rovers- ages 15 to 19
