SCOUTING IN SWAZILAND

SWAZILAND BOY SCOUT ASSOCIATION

Scouting in Swaziland was officially founded in 1928 and was recognized by the World Bureau in 1968. Membership on January 1, 1999 was 4,994 registered Scouts.

Program Sections:

 Cubs- ages 6 to 10.5

 Scouts- ages 11 to 15.5

 Venturers- ages 16 to 19

 Rovers- ages 20 and older

Scout Oath:

On my honour, I promise to do my best,

To do my duty to God, the King.

To help other people at all times,

And to keep the Scout Law.

SCOUT LAW:

1- A Scout is to be trusted

2- A Scout is loyal.

3- A Scout is friendly and considerate.

4-A Scout is a brother to all Scouts.

5- A Scout has courage in all difficulties.

6- A Scout makes good use of his time and is careful of possessions and property.

7- A Scout has respect for himself and others.
