FEDERATION OF SCOUTING IN SPAIN
Scouting was officially founded in Spain in 1912 and World Bureau recognition was gained in 1922. Recognition was withdrawn in 1938 due to political situations. During this period of suspension, Scouting continued their activity underground. In 1978, Scouting in Spain was again recognized. Membership was 89,256 registered members in January 1, 1998.
The Federation is made up of three Scout Associations:

Associacio Catalana D'EscoltismeThe Scout Association of Catalonia
In addition to the three associations above, there are several other no-recognized associations.
