SCOUTING IN IRAN
![]()
Scouting in Iran is unknown. Iranian Scouting was founded in 1928. Iran became a member of the World Bureau (WOSM) in 1955.
Scouting grew for many years until the fall of the government in the 1970's. The present Islamic government has placed restraints on Scouting. The wars that Iran has become involved in, has taken many of the Scout age boys into the military as well as the leaders. Scouting is dormant and no information is getting out of the country.
