SCOUTING ERITREA

Scouting in Eritrea has become active again after many years of government banning. Scouting is in its infancy. Political unrest and financial considerations have slowed down any growth. Scouts have not been seen at any regional Scout events and may just operate on a local level. Scouting in Eritrea is not recognized by the World Bureau (WOSM).

Program Sections:

Cub Scouts- 7 to 11

Scouts- 12 to 15

Rovers- 16 to 20

Scout Oath:

On my honour I promise that I will do my best, to do my duty to God and my country, to help other people at all times and to obey the Scout Law.

A Scout's honour is to be trusted

A Scout is a friend to animals

A Scout obeys orders of his parents, patrol leaders or Scoutmaster without question
