SCOUTING DOMINICA

THE SCOUT ASSOCIATION OF DOMINICA

 

Scouting was officially founded in 1929. In 1990, Dominica was accepted into the World Bureau (WOSM).

Scouting is active on this Caribbean Island mainly in the villages. Dominica's programs closely follow that of the United Kingdom.

Dominica Scouts participate in many Caribbean camps. They hosted the 1994 Caribbean Jamboree.

In 1998, there were 1,100 registered members in all sections.

Program Sections:

Cub Scouts- 7 to 11

Scouts- 12 to 15

Rovers- 16 to 20

Scout Oath:

On my honour I promise that I will do my best, to do my duty to God and my country, to help other people at all times and to obey the Scout Law.
