SCOUTING IN THE CENTRAL AFRICAN REPUBLIC

THE CENTRAL AFRICAN REPUBLIC SCOUT FEDERATION

 

Scouting was officially founded in 1941 and World Bureau (WOSM) membership was in 1969.

Total membership at the end of 1998 was reported as being 7,000 registered members.

The Federation has seven Scout Associations as members.


Program Sections:

Meute (Cubs)- ages 6 to 11

Troupe (Scouts)- ages 12 t0 17

Clan (Rovers)- ages 17 and up


Motto:

Toujours Pret Always Prepared


Scout Oath:

On my honour I promise that I will do my best, to do my duty to God and my country, to help other people at all times and to obey the Scout Law.


Scout Law:

A Scout's honour is to be trusted

A Scout is loyal

A Scout's duty is to be useful and to help others

A Scout is a friend to all and a brother to every other Scout

A Scout is courteous

A Scout is a friend to animals

A Scout obeys orders of his parents, patrol leaders or Scoutmaster without question

A Scout smiles and whistles under all difficulties

A Scout is thrifty

A Scout is clean in thought, word and deed
