SCOUTING IN BAHRAIN

BOY SCOUTS OF BAHRAIN

Scouting in Bahrain was founded in 1953. It became a member of the World Organization (WOSM) in 1970. Membership is about 2,000 male Scouts.

Scouts are involved in community service such as cleaning polluted areas and spraying with insecticides, giving blood and helping to organize blood donor services, assistance at sports events and taking charge of first aid at schools.

The small organization cooperates well with other neighboring brother Scout Associations. They are active in area and region national camps and jamborees.

There are also some international troops for the children of oil company employees.
